Having a safe, reliable roof overhead is essential for everyone, particularly those fleeing war and persecution.  We work to provide this most basic need, giving shelter and vital household items.  Our architects design and construct durable, cost effective structures, housing, latrines, showers and cooking areas to restore a sense of home and stability to vulnerable communities.  Construction is used as a training opportunity for community members and an employment program for carpenters and masons.  Facilities are designed in partnership with local communities taking into account the geography and cultural expectations.  All materials are locally procured which in turn works to stimulate the local economy.
